Free Health and Eye Check-up Camp Held at Lions Seva Bhavan, organized by Lions Club,Catholic Sabha&Health Commission St Lawrence church Moodubelle.Moodubelle
Lions and Leo Clubs of Moodubelle along with Catholic Sabha and Health Commission of St. Lawrence Church, Moodubelle and in association with District Health Centre, Sanchari Eye Unit, District Hospital, Udupi and Primary Health Centre, Pernankila organized free health and eye check-up camp at Lions Seva Bhavan, Moodubelle on Sunday, 27 September 2026 from 9.00am to 2.00pm.
The free health and eye check-up camp was inaugurated by Dr. Nityananda Nayak (OPTHO), District Hospital, Udupi along with Dr. Rithwi Doshi, KMC Manipal, Ln. Vivek Pai-President of the Lions Club, Moodubelle, MJF Ln. Laveena Barboza-Zone Chairman, Zone III, John D’Souza-President of the Catholic Sabha, Moodubelle Unit and Sr. Yamuna from Pernankila Primary Health Centre by formally lighting the lamp.
Following the inauguration, Dr. Nityananda Nayak in his brief speech made the beneficiaries aware of the need to have regular eye check-up in order to avoid complications with the advancement of the age.
Leo Shaina Menezes sang the prayer hymn; President Ln. Vivek Pai welcomed the gathering and MJF Ln. Devadas Hebbar compered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks.
Unlike in previous years, this year there was overwhelming response to the Free Health and Eye Check-up Camp as around 325 beneficiaries took advantage of the camp.
The check-up facilities included ECG, Blood-pressure and sugar check-up and Eye-check-up
On this occasion, the E-magazine of the Lions Club, Moodubelle edited by Leo Shaina Menezes and designed by Ln. Ivan Menezes-Secretary of the Lions Club, Moodubelle was inaugurated by the Zone Chairperson MJF Ln. Laveena Barboza.
In her message, MJF Ln. Laveena Barboza complimented editor Leo Shaina Menezes and Ln. Ivan Menezes for their efforts in bringing out the E-magazine of the Lions Club, Moodubelle.
